What is Brain Gym? Brain Gym is a commercial training program that claims that any learning challenge can be overcome by finding the right movements, the use of which will create new pathways in the brain. Children, teachers, and parents do brain gym to develop neural pathways necessary for learning and remembering. Brain Gyms helps students do the following:
1. Learn anything quicker and easier
2. Control ADD/ADHD
3. Raise test scores
4. Boost learning for special needs (autism, dyslexia, etc.)
5. Lower stress
6. Improve reading
7. Increase concentration and energy levels.
Some of the brain gym exercises consist of the Cross Crawl which can be done standing or sitting. Put the right hand across the body to the left knee as you raise it, and then do the same thing for the left hand on the right knee just as if you were marching. Just do this either sitting or standing for about 2 minutes.

Difference Between Hardware and Software
I would like to explore the difference between hardware and software. It is very easy for people to get hardware and software mixed up but I am going to tell you how they are different. Anything that can be stored electronically is software. Storage devices and display devices are hardware. A software problem means there is a problem with the program or data and not with the computer itself. When you purchase a program, you are buying software. But to buy the software, you need to buy the disk (hardware) on which the software is recorded. Software is divided into two categories: systems software and all the utilities that enable the computer to function. Applications software includes programs that do real work for users. Some examples, include word processors, spreadsheets, and database management systems fall under the category of applications software. Some examples of hardware include objects that you can actually touch, like disks, disk drives, display screens, keyboards, printers, boards, and chips. I hope everyone will be able to tell the difference hardware and software by reading the post. I learned alot by researching hardware and software.

Renting Textbooks
Renting textbooks at USC is growing on campus. Many students are finding it cheaper to rent a textbook instead of buying the textbook at full price. I rented one textbook last semester and saved about $100. Renting textbooks was new to USC last semester. In Fall 2010 there are going to be even more rental textbooks available. I think students will find this an alternative to high textbook prices. You have to rent the textbook with your debit or credit card in case you loose the textbook they can charge your card the full price. This is the only downfall because you have to make sure you keep the book in good condition and don't loose it. I will definitely see if I can rent more books this semester so that I can save some money on my textbook costs each semester.

Blog Assignment 1.8
E-Learning consists of computer based training, web-based training, and Internet training. E-Learning can benefit individuals and organizations with improved performace, increased access, convenience, and flexibility to learners and to develop skills and competencies needed to keep up with today's technology. Staying abreast of the new training programs available at your place of employment can increase your performance and productivity on your job. E-Learning is taking the place of traditional learning. I feel that computer-based training has a lot of advantages over traditional classroom training. Some examples are training time is reduced, you can remain in one location, access courses from a variety of locations.
